Many Minecraft players are familiar with Gulliver’s Travels, a series of tales written by Jonathan Swift (no relation to Taylor Swift) about a man who travels the world on a bunch of different adventures. One of the most memorable parts of Gulliver’s Travel is when Gulliver encounters the Lilliputians, a race of tiny people less than 6 inches tall. They inhabit an island called Lilliput, and Gulliver helps the Lilliputians solve a border dispute problem with their neighbors. Anyways, the magic of Gulliver’s Travels has been brought to the Minecraft world thanks to the Gulliver mod, also known as the Gulliver the Resizing Mod. In this mod, players enter a world that, at first glance, looks exactly like vanilla Minecraft. There are no new blocks, items, entities, or biomes.
Instead, the mod simply adds two potion effects: -One potion makes you bigger -The other potion makes you smaller Players can become either very large or very small. Players who are very small can still jump one block high and climb many of the blocks they encounter, although it can still be tricky and time-consuming to get around some obstacles. Meanwhile, players who are very large will need to watch their step – falling hurts.
Players can also hold shift to launch their large frames across the landscape, and punching enemy mobs or blocks results in some powerful effects. You can even pick up mobs and then throw them – something that I would probably do to my enemies too, if I became a giant in real life. Each potion is brewed simply by adding Nether Wart to a Water Bottle in order to make an Awkward Potion. Then, players add Red Mushroom to make a Potion of Embiggening or a Brown Mushroom to make a Potion of Ensmallening (neither of which are real words). Interestingly enough, players can also add a multiplier effect to their potions and extend the duration of the effect. Adding Redstone dust extends the effect duration and adding Glowstone dust boosts the potions to Tier II.

It’s also fun to turn the potions into Splash Potions by adding gunpowder before throwing them at mobs. There are plenty of entertaining possibilities for this mod. Whether you want to jump across the landscape as a massive giant or you just want to see what the world is like from 6 inches off the ground, this mod will help you feel like Gulliver waking up on the island of Lilliput for the first time. How to install Gulliver the Resizing Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5 Step 1) Download and install Step 2) Download the Forge version of Gulliver (look for the ‘Forge version (universal)’ red text halfway down the page Step 3) Drag and drop the mod’s folder into the.minecraft/mods folder Step 4) Start playing and enjoy seeing Minecraft from a different perspective The mod also comes with a Magic Launcher version, which may be easier for some players.
You can download both versions of the mod.
Gulliver Mod 1.6.4 adds in a couple of potions, commands, ext that let the player change their or other things size in Minecraft. This mod lets you shrink to the size of a mouse or grow to be a giant.
It’s named for the book Gulliver’s Travels, though much of the inspiration comes from The Borrowers, Alice in Wonderland, and other size-related stories. Have you ever read the famous works of Gulliver’s Travels, where he both shrinks to the size of an insect, down to just a mere several inches and grows into this monolith of a man, a massive and towering sky scraping giant?
This is a famous story and has been replicated many times including the cult favorite Army of Darkness and really uses some great ideas from the simple idea of growing and shrinking! If you think that idea, the transformation of a human is a cool idea, then you should probably really check out this mod for Minecraft right this minute! You can transform yourself and even mobs, creating a much different feel to fighting the deadly mobs, making them stronger when much larger! You can also use slime and paper to fly and climb walls, making even more awesome features to get around the new world perspective. Features:. From the outside, it looks just like plain vanilla Minecraft. There are no new blocks, items, entities or biomes – just two Potion effects.
But with Gulliver installed, you now have the ability to change your own size or the sizes of mobs and NPCs. The world works differently when you and mobs change size. See what happens. Screenshots: How to use: Starter tips for tiny players:. Watch your step.
Hold Shift or sprint to jump 1 Block high. Some Blocks are climbable. Hold Paper to glide, Slime Ball to climb, or Lily Pad to raft. Hold an Item for greater reach, attack power and digging speed. Hold something pointy (like a Stick or Sword) to pry open Chests or Doors. Try the Fishing Rod grappling hook. Beware of Cats and Spiders.
Starter tips for huge players:. Watch your step – falling hurts. Hold Shift to jump higher. Try punching Blocks or Mobs empty-handed. Step or jump on Mobs to hurt them (or else hold Shift to sneak over them). Right-click drops empty-handed (or holding a Bucket) to pick them up.
Right-click Mobs empty-handed to pick them up. Then use left-click to throw them, ‘Q’ to toss them, right-click to place them, or ‘V’ to set ’em on your shoulder. How to Change Size: Resizing Potions Add Redstone Dust to extend the effect duration or add Glowstone Dust to make them Tier II. Turn them into Splash Potions with Gunpowder to throw them at mobs. Potion of Embiggening makes you 4 times your height, Potion of Embiggening II makes you 8 times your height. Potion of Ensmallening makes you 1/4 your height, Potion of Ensmallening II makes you 1/8 your height. You can drink Milk or a Potion with the opposite resizing effect to remove the effect.
Resizing Dyes Having a stack of Cyan Dye in your inventory will make you half your size, and a stack of Purple Dye (was Magenta Dye in versions 0.13.8 and older) will make you twice your size. You can have multiple stacks of dye to apply the resizing multiple times, so 3 stacks of Cyan Dye will make you 1/8 size, and 3 stacks of Purple Dye will make you 8 size. Applying dyes to Sheep and tame Wolves’ collars will resize them too. If you don’t want to allow it in singleplayer, edit the “enable-dye-resizing” option in the Gulliver config file (either Gulliver.cfg or GulliverForged.cfg) in the config folder of your Minecraft game directory: B:enable-dye-resizing=false If you want to disallow it on a server, edit the same property as above in the Gulliver config file in the config folder where your Minecraft server resides. Resizing Keys Note: This requires both “Cheat Mode” (or Op permission on a server) and Creative Mode to work. You can adjust your size by pressing the ‘R’ key to double your current size and the ‘F’ key to halve your current size.
(Size limits are 1/8 for smallest and 8 for largest.) If you hold a Stick and point it at a mob, then the ‘R’ and ‘F’ size changes will apply to the mob you are pointing. The player or mob will stay that size unless affected by a resizing Potion or Dye. Resizing Commands (Advanced) Note: This requires “Cheat Mode” (or Op permission on a server.) Use the /basesize command to directly set your base size.
This is normal size: /basesize 1.0 This is 1/4 normal size: /basesize 0.25 This is 3x normal size: /basesize 3.0 Base size limits are 0.125 for smallest and 8 for largest. You can even give an “actual” size, like so: /basesize 200cm /basesize 5ft4in You’ll keep that size unless affected by a resizing Potion or Dye.
(93 votes) If you have ever wanted a television for you Minecraft home or castle, then this mod will be for you. This is a very fun mod to play around with and use in your every day Minecraft activities.
The package doesn't take long to download or install, so it is very user friendly as well. This review will cover some of the basics behind using this mod and let you know where you can find it. Adding some creativity to Minecraft Many people have expressed a desire to make their Minecraft communities feel more like a home setting. Some mods have attempted to address this issue, since a lot of structures built in the game may feel bare. It is fun to create large castles, skyscrapers and towers with all of the resources available to you. But once the initial structure is built, it may feel somewhat barren. Because of this, there have been a few attempts to incorporate art or other objects that can be placed on walls.
The TV Mod for Minecraft is a great addition because it can instantly transform the interior of any structure you’ve just completed. Instead of a hollow shell within your castle, you can create an elaborate TV room. This mod lets you install a fully functioning Minecraft television set right on almost any wall. It can even play videos that you’ve recorded in the game right there on your screen. Utilizing the TV mod for Minecraft By and large you will still be playing the Minecraft game as you always have before. The only difference is that this mod allows you to incorporate a television right into whatever structure you’re building.
Once you’ve gotten accustom to this, it will let you create a television panel and remote control in the game setting. You can even adjust your television set like you would in a real life setting. Using this mod in the game itself is even easier. To make the television set, you would simply need a few items. You will need to collect a painting, glass and a red stone. You combine these three items and you will get a TV unit. You can install this TV unit on almost any flat wall that is large enough to install it.
The remote is similarly easy to make, requiring just an iron ingot and red stone. You can place your television on: – Castle walls– Outside amphitheaters– Indoor theater settings– Ceilings or interior of roofs When you’ve got the basics of how to use this mod, just use your imagination to create the perfect Minecraft theater for yourself. Make a whole Tiny World in Minecraft. This mod allows you to polish up your creativity and optimize your redstone systems. Indeed, the size of blocks placed in a little blocks is divided by eight compared to its original size, so you can place 512 blocks instead of one. The Little Block extends automatically when you exceed the size of a normal block.
